What instruments are taught at Six String Place?

We teach acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, voice, mandolin and banjo. All styles and levels can be covered by one or more of our instructors.

What will we cover during the free first lesson?

During the lesson we determine what your musical interests are, what skill level you currently have and design a program that is customized to your needs. We will also look at the guitar you are currently using and, if necessary,recommend repairs or replacement options.

Tell me about your instructors and their experience

Our instructors have many decades of experience both performing and teaching. We teach all styles of music at every level including classic rock, blues, folk, country, Christian, classical, jazz and metal. Please refer to our Instructors page for more specific information.

I am a beginner. How long will it take me to be able to play songs?

We have many beginners, without any experience, that are playing songs within six weeks of starting our program. We also have many experienced/advanced players that come to us to help them reach the next level of their musical development.

I don't currently have an instrument. Do you have them available?

We have new guitars to purchase for as little as $129. We also have drum pads and sticks for beginning drummers.

What are your hours of operation?

11am - 9 pm Monday to Thursday
11am - 7pm Friday
11 am - 5pm on Saturday

How much do lessons cost and how often do they occur?

Lessons are $20 per 1/2 hour and $40 per 1 hour lesson and are paid in advance for each calendar month. Lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis.
