How do I take advantage of your free first lesson offer?
Simply call us at 517.282.3266 or email us at info@SixStringPlace.com. We will schedule your free first lesson at a
time that will be convenient for you.
What will we cover during the free first lesson?
During the lesson we determine what your musical interests are, what skill level you currently have and design a
program that is customized to your needs. We will also look at the guitar you are currently using and, if necessary,
recommend repairs or replacement options.
Tell me about your instructors and their training and experience.
Our instructors have many decades of experience both performing and teaching. We teach all styles of music at every
level including classic rock, blues, folk, country, Christian, classical, jazz and metal. We accommodate both flat
picking and fingerstyle approaches. Please refer to our Instructors page for more specific information.
I am a beginner. How long will it take me to be able to play songs?
We have many beginners, without any experience, that are playing songs within six weeks of starting our program. We
also have many experienced/advanced players that come to us to help them reach the next level of their musical
development.
I currently don't have guitar. Do you have them available?
We have both purchase and leasing options for guitars. Leasing starts at $15 per month and we sell guitars starting
at $99.
When do you give lessons?
We are open from 12 - 9 pm Monday to Thursday, 12 - 7pm Friday and 12 - 5pm on Saturday.
How much are lessons and how often do they occur?
Lessons are $16 per 1/2 hour and $30 per 1 hour lesson and are paid in advance for each calendar month. Lessons
are scheduled on a weekly basis.
